These can include endocrine disorders when the body does not produce enough of its own prednisone, rheumatic disorders such as arthritis, collagen diseases, dermatologic diseases such as severe psoriasis, allergies, ophthalmic disorders, respiratory disorders, hematologic disorders, neoplastic diseases, edematous states, gastrointestinal diseases such as ulcerative colitis, asthma, lupus, and nervous system disorders, especially those associated with flare-ups of multiple sclerosis.
